For an another example, our gardener knows someone that was assaulted and robbed at their house in Islabon about one month ago ( they took an inverter) . The robbers were caught, but they are already out of jail.

He went to the Police to inquire about the murder because rumor had it that it was commited in front of his hotel. Police said that it was in a Dominican Bar/tipico/gambling place(illegal) and that a German came in and made problems with the Dominicans and that is how/why it happened.
Is the fellow that was killed German?

I also notice that a lot of people are more then willing to invest in a nice 4 wheel drive, a villa, a set of gold chains or whatever BUT..... when the alarm systems becomes a topic the big question is "were to buy it cheap"!!
A alarm system should be your basic safety device, eventually completed with a guard (one that doesnt sleep) and/or a dog.
A good alarm system will set you back a 2 to 3 thousend dollars but then you have heat/movement detectors in each and every room and radar movement detectors in the garden. At least one infra red camera but two would be best, connected to a monitor in the house. It is very well possible to make your house safe and still live comfortable in it, just not many people are willing to pay the price. Afterwards its always proven to be worth it.
Beside that, I really do feel for the widow of Roy ofcourse. This shoudnt have happend. My condolances.
