1- How does one go about getting a driver's licience for a motor scooter in the DR?

2- Is insurance required?

I plan to move down here on a semi-permanent basis.

Thanks for your help

A What??

Don't you realize that we get extra points for gringos on scooters?

Schitt, man, they're better than little old ladies with walkers!

Take you Stateside license to Obras Publicas and go through the rigormarole.

Get all the insurance you can afford, including med evac, long term care and DNR orders..

HB :D:D Sheesh!
