Bringing Back Stories from Past

How come all of a sudden, people are bringing back stories and posts that happened months or years ago - back into the present. I think its the newbies - I'm a newbie myself - as of 11/04 - but why bring these posts back. Why not start a new thread with your comments on something. It sucks when you read a new post and you have to backtrack 10 months and 40 posts to see what is being commented on.

All though I must say, a couple of threads that were brought back have been funny.

I think it happens when they do a search on a specific topic, and then they start reading but don't look at the dates.

If a "newbie" starts a thread with something "we" have posted about, some of "us" will jump and throw a "this have been already discussed, do a search"...

If they post what they have to say in an old thread "we" make fun of them...

My secretaria would say "Como quiera e' malo" :cross-eye

I also think old posts are good b/c you can see how some people here have developed relationships (or deteriorated in some cases) and it is easier to see where certain comments come from...
