Starting tomorrow, the time will be the same as here in the Eastern US. During "standard time", they are an hour ahead of us.

Much easier now

They tried it a few years ago!
It was a mess, to say the least.
Some people were on it, while others were unaware of what DST was.
American Airlines was a classic, they boarded the plane an hour early, and took off two hours late. Now DST is all year now, the same time as the East coast tommorow.

During the 60s, 70s and 80s

The DR managed to keep the same hours as the US of A. However, during one of the recent gobmints, the gradual deterioration of the ejukashional sistem seams too have kreated a poplatshun inkaypable of changing there watches.

Geographically, we belong in the Eastern Time Zone. By government decree, we are in the Atlantic Standard Time Zone. So, part of the year we are with New York, MIA and Boston, and the rest of the year we are ahead by an hour..Same letrine, different hole...
