Does anyone know for certain that the government declared Monday May 2nd as a holiday, since May 1st falls on a Sunday this year?

I'm trying to reconfirm my hotel reservations in POP for that weekend...

Please, serious replies only!!! ;)

According to the DR1 calendar section:

May, 2/05 Labor Day
Labor Day this year falls on Sunday, 1 May, so the government decided to give everyone Monday, 2 May off! This makes for a long weekend -- Friday through Monday.
