Location for a wedding needed.

My dominican fiance and I will marry in DR in July. We will have two weddings.. the first small and simple, the second large. I am trying to find a nice place for a July wedding- some place where we wont sweat to death..lol First location choice being Santo Domingo since that is where his job is, but we're open to suggestions. How are civil weddings? I do not live in DR; can anyone give me suggestions?

If you have a religious wedding first, you dont need a civil wedding. If you still want to have 2 ceremonies (civil and religious) you can have a civil wedding first I would do it in a resort, at sunset if you dont want to sweat, and then a religious wedding in Santo Domingo (convento de los dominicos is gorgeous).

You dont need to explain how when why to who you are going to marry, it is YOUR business.
