SDQ (SD Las Americas) to PUJ (Punta Cana)

Does anyone have any idea how to get from Santo Domingo SDQ to Punta Cana PUJ airport? In June, 2005? I know there's a flight or two from Herrera Airport (HEX) on PC Express, but that scedule won't work for us. I've heard that there are private planes who take passengers, but I don't know how to find them. We don't cherish the thought of a 6-8 hour bus ride, or a $150 4-hour Taxi ride.

The CAB revoked their certificate not long ago, they cannot perform local flights on the Dominican Republic.

There is a bus that leaves at 7 and 4 pm. Think it costs about RD$200 for the ride. You would have to take it from Santo Domingo (a block from Maximo Gomez). It would put you into the bus stop from where you would have to take a taxi to your hotel (most expensive part of the trip).
