Be very careful with that US rate, I stayed there once (only once, never again) and they quoted me US$105. When the bill was processed the next day it was RD$4,600 and the rate was only 29-1!!!

They claimed they hadn't updated their rate sheet since last July when the rate was 45-1 and I was quoted from the old sheet. The peso room rate had stayed the same, just the exchange didn't.

There are nicer options

I tried to answer your most kind email but since I am on another computer, I am doing something wrong.
I'll send you a PM regarding your visit.

My own suggestion would be either the Aloha sol or the Colonial or Alberto's Suites. These are all under RD$1500, I think. Colonial is best for the price, then aloha Sol is most expensive but the nicest of the three.

A lot depends on just where youeillbe going to visit in Santiago.

Colonial is 809 247 3122
Aloha sol is 809 583 0090
Alberto's Suites Aparta-Hotel 809 971 6005

HB :p

Hotel colonial, excellent owners and staff, clean, safe, cheap. Remember you're just there to sleep.
