'Stay Safe' Group - meeting last Saturday 11th June

Robert said:
Can you give us a brief report?

Thanks.

'Stay Safe' Group meeting was last Saturday 11th June where we had some people from Cabarete and Sosua. The meeting was also attended by Coronel Thomas Grullart and the President of the Association of Vendors Winston Castillo.

The Coronel talked about what crimes have been committed recently and how they are being dealt with. He told us that right now between Perla Marina and Sabaneta Inversors are being stolen- so keep your serial number in a safe place so that if you have your inversor stolen it can be tracked.

Neighbourhood Watch schemes should be organised between ourselves.

All crimes must be reported - there is a Crime Report Form designed by the Coronel in English & Spanish (he will translate this form in German & French too).

The Coronel also gave us a list of equipment urgently needed which the 'Stay Safe' Group will try and help finance some of these items by having a dinner and a auction to raise some money to purchase these items. More details for this dinner will be posted.

If anyone would like regular 'Stay Safe' Newsletters please e mail me : sylviacheal@hotmail.com. It is no problem sending this but we would also appreciate people showing up for the next meeting which will be in August - again details for this will be posted.
