Hello,

Can I buy Benzocaine and Lyodcaine without a prescription in the DR?

BTW: Is there a listing of pharmaceutical drugs that can be bought in the DR without a prescription posted online or on this chat board?

Thanks,
Helpmann :)

Any drug considered to have narcotic possibilities is tightly regulated in the DR and can be purchased only by prescription on a special form. Other drugs are available without prescription. Most medications sold in the US are available here, either with same name or a European generic. Also available here are many meds presently not available in the US

Interstingly enough in Nicaragua it is open season - I went to a pharmacy for something minor and asked the "pharmacist" (17 years old probably not really one) while I was there about other meds - - morphine, xanax, you name it, injectable, tablets, all over the counter. No doctors need sign anything.
