Hi,

Well, I understand quite a bit of spanish, i understand quite a bit of the "double speak" in some songs.
Pleasse help me. There is Kinito Mendez Merengue quite popular here
in the netherlands now. Whole classes of salsa and merengue students happily swaying on Honey tu si Joney.

first I don't understand the word Joney.

and if it is a quite innocent word, does he mean to "double speak" and
have it mean "horny" also?

Help a dutch guy to understand a little more of Dominican spanish...

Thanks,

Tom

I'm thinking it's more of a play on the word jode. Like "honey tu si jode". That means honey you bother so much. But I'm not positive. I would love to hear what other DR1 members have to say.
