First off I would like to say this is the most informative site relating to the DR that Ive found,Im very impressed especially with these boards,which are a goldmine of information regarding all aspects of this beautiful country..
I have recently traveled to the DR(in April) involving my business interests and I stayed at the Occidental El Embajador in Santo Domingo.I must say I was truly impressed with the quality of service rendered and the accomodations.Im going to return in mid August and plan on staying there again.I really liked the way they had a casino inside and pool area is very quaint and peaceful(very nice after a long day,and trying to recuperate from the always titilating driving experiances)
I like the way you can access that area via 2nd floor(if I recall right).The planta's are very tropical and really gets you in the mood to grab a suit and a cool drink..I was down there for 3 day's and experianced some very good dining(thank's to my associate who's from there).I will be staying the majority of the week this time and I might venture out of the hotel and walk up to the Tony Roma's to eat.The establisment here in the state's is good,can I expect the same there?
My first trip went off without a glitch and I'm hoping for the same this time.So wish me well and Ill check in with an assessment when I get back
If any of you have any idea's on how my trip may be more pleasant please venture to say..Ill probably be arrivng on a Sunday,so that leave's me with the evening to entertain myself(coming from N.C),and I will be working all day,everday till thursday,which also leave's be the evening..Maybe a report on the nightlife close to the proximity of the hotel?
