Default cable internet in Santo Domingo

Does anyone here have cable internet in the Santo Domingo area? If so, how is the service, area of service, who is the provider and the cost. Info would be appreciate it. Thanks.

ps. Tricom had it advertised in their web page a while back but I don't see it anymore.

You can get cable internet through Aster .
They deliver their service throughout most of Santo Domingo.
We pay 483.05/month for the service and 79.66/month for the modem rental. (Add ITBIS + CDT)
It takes a little while to get connected to the internet but once you've established a connection it's fast and reliable. When we've had a problem we just disconnect and connect again and that has done for us so far.

Somewhat dependable. Goes out about once a month for about 24hrs but that just might be problems in my area (Las Praderas).

    Default Speed

Thanks guys. What is the speed available? Is it comparable to U.S. cable? If I need high speed 24/7 very reliable would be best to go another way, say a T1 form Verizon or Tricom?
