aqui???

can someone pls explain to me the term aqui? i was tlkin to someone online who tlks a bit of spanish and english to me and he put: 'aqui sending an email'.
When i asked what he meant he said it here which is also what my dictionary tells me. Is it like sayin 'right now i am sending an email'?

Maybe "aqui" meant in whatever program you were on such as yahoo, msn ect.

Did he send you the email through the program? aqui doesn't mean right now.

Was on msn messenger so it was a live conversation. i asked 'que tal?' and he put 'aqui sending an email of my uni paper that was due monday lol'

You asked what's up and he responded, I'm here, (aqui) (meaning MSN or online) sending an email of my uni paper that was due monday lol'
