i have been informed when purchasing property in dr that it is prudent to incorporate and actually purchase it as an association on the title. inheritance and liability issues also been informed that it is better if u utilize a bvi incorporation instead of dominican incorporation any feed back appreciated and potential price and fees of incorporation:beard:

That is correct information. Incorporation costs will depend on many things but mostly the capitalization. What are of the country do you need this done in and do you speak spanish or is it necessary that the lawyer speak english?

It is critical that you have the land etc checked out carefully. Land purchases and transfers are a landmine of potential problems.

It is better to have the property held by a Dominican corporation instead of a foreign or offshore entity for tax reasons. You may use an offshore as the controlling shareholder of the Dominican corporation.

That seems reasonable to me but it depends on the capitalization you need of the company. It does not seem off base.

It is fair. Incorporation in Panama would cost you 1400-1500 us$, up to 1800-2000 us$ in the Bahamas or BVI, director's fees not included.
