I am going to Punta Cana in Feb. 2000. I have friends that are going to Puerto Plata at that same time. How far apart are these cities? Miles? Travel Time? Thank you.

We are planning a trip to the Domican Republic in February. Can you tell me if there are any safety concerns we should be aware of? We will be staying at a resort near Punta Cana.

Punta Cana and Puerto Plata are about nine hours driving time non-stop.
