This is DR1,Not Canada1.We don't posts lists about how great Countries are to live in.Except the DR of course! CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

7 things I love about the Dominican Republic:
I really can't comment on what it is like to live there and I have only seen a small portion but these are a few observations from my extremely limited gringo/tourist perspective.
1) First and foremost is the people.
The people are genuinely happy and friendly and very passionate and emotional.
They know how to seize the moment and enjoy life.
Many do not have much but what they do have is shared generously.
I find them very down-to-earth and refreshing.
2) The country is very beautiful and serene with the mountains and the sea.
I would love to travel around and see much more of it in person some time.
3) The feeling of freedom and tranquility.
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Rat race and stress recharges me.
4) I appreciate the perspective that I gain from seeing other peoples lives.
A few less luxuries and frivolous splurges for myself goes a long ways to helping some of them out.
5) I like the climate but I know I would have a hard time getting used to living without air-conditioning like most Dominicans do.
6) The location is great for me being under 4 hours flight time.
7) I must say that I do enjoy the party aspect of it all.
I am only there for a 1 week holiday at a time and I do enjoy treating myself but at the same time I do what I can to help those who truly deserve and appreciate.

See Robert about starting your own "BLOG".People don't come to a website about the DR to hear your personal story.CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

CC, this thread had already run it's course and was well on it's way to oblivion.

What you did was not necessary except to perhaps make yourself feel good.

Did you receive any complaints or did you simply take it upon yourself to be an assh0le?

Hey he may be an arsehole but he is "OUR" arsehole! I love this guy! He is truly one of the good guys. Some of the other people you need to watch out for!
