hello, we are heading to the DR and staying at the Riy Bachata in Peurto Plata for 6 nights. We actully worked on this trip for only 3 days and looked at bunches of on line sites and read forums and advise from past vacationers, but reading these forums seems that many are return vacationers and/or residents. We are flying into POP. so I guess we are asking many things here: gettin to the resort?? good place to stay?? when we wonder off, where should we go for the best sights? ocean world? etc........anything would be great advise.Thanks!!!!!!

Riu Bachata is a fine resort as are the sister resorts the Meregue and Mambo which you will have use of as well.
Definitely go to Ocean World worth every $
Getting to the resort, tour op likely wull have a bus for you if not grab a cab, rates are posted on a board.

thank you and any more info would be appreciated also......we would really love to enjoy this trip to the fullest and see sights off the beaten path so to speak.........please advice with any info possible
