green amber

Hello my name is joshau hart and i am co onwer and manger of a small shop in the usa. that sell silverwork and native americn art. My father the co owner isa master silver smith and lapadary man and is wondering how we could get some raw green amber or even blue amber. please reply thank you joshua hart

You could go directly to the amber mines in the Cordillera Septentrional, which is where you get it cheapest. The mines are at a small village called La Cumbre. This village is on the Carretera Turistica, a highway that runs between Sosua and Santiago, much nearer the Santiago end. Look for a restaurant called Cemi and ask them for directions to the mines. There are also stands along the road with chunks of raw amber here.
