JetBlue Begins Service With Embraer 190 Aircraft

--Low-fare Airline is Launch Customer for 100-Seat Aircraft; New Boston-New York Service First to Experience EMBRAER 190 --
New York, NY (November 8, 2005) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq: JBLU) today began service with the EMBRAER 190 aircraft, a 100-seat jet and the newest aircraft in the aviation industry. Service began this morning with JetBlue flight 1001, departing Boston?s Logan International Airport for New York?s John F. Kennedy International Airport, one of eight daily trips. JetBlue?s first EMBRAER 190 flight departed Boston with every seat filled.

?JetBlue is pioneering another innovation in the airline industry today with the launch of EMBRAER 190 service,? said JetBlue CEO David Neeleman. ?This jet offers customers an unrivaled experience, from its roomy, all-leather seats to bigger television screens, to 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio. And because it?s the most efficient 100-seat aircraft in the skies today, JetBlue is able to keep fares low.?

To celebrate this special day, JetBlue randomly rewarded 190 people on the streets of Manhattan who were wearing blue. Each lucky person received a free ticket to be used on a future flight between New York?s JFK International Airport and Boston?s Logan Airport.

JetBlue plans to accept seven EMBRAER 190s in 2005 and 19 aircraft in 2006. The airline has a total of 101 EMBRAER 190s on firm order, with options for 100 more through 2016. The aircraft will be deployed in new service to Austin, TX and Richmond, VA starting January 19 and March 31, 2006, respectively.
