Me too

We inherited a bunch of a/c units (splits) and don't have remote controls for all of them whilst some remotes that we do have have display problems so they can't be used for any programming functions just switch on/switch off. Brands are Whirl-Temp and Samsung

I'd also appreciate any information about possible sources and/or "generic" universals that might be suitable.

Thanks

there's a one page add in today's DIARIO LIBRE from a company in Santo Domingo by the name of DIGITAL TV, that shows a picture (can't see the brand) of 3 universal remote controls for air conditioners (there's a caption that says "price from RD$699).

There's also a picture of a 12 volt battery from C & D Technologies, gelatine, 195 amps @ 15 minutes, 800@20% discharge, maintenance free, 10 year life, weight 74 lbs, with a listed price of RD$4,369. Is this a good buy?

Any idea where I can find a remote for a White-Westinghouse wall unit in Santo Domingo? The universal ones don't work with this thing.
Are you sure the problem is with the remote and not the receiver?
