God damn it, In this country to get a breakfast, you have to wake up minimum at 4pm, or five even better, but still you are not able to eat what you want. That's unbelievable.

Maybe anyone knows where can I eat at 8 to 12 oclock in the morning. Preferably sushi ?

All I know is Marocha that starts working at 7, but hell no, everyday going there, and you get tired after 3 days. Then Aqua opens at 12, but what the fcuk, I wanna eat at 10! :)

Cafe Milano is an option too, but their morning menu sucks.

Even BK starts at 11 or 12 :((
Any ideas and comments would be greatly appreciated.

regards.

Imagine, not being able to find a sushi restaurant open in the DR for breakfast.

Buy your Sushi in Supermerdado Nacional and take it home! Not long ago they had Sushi lunch packs in the deli section, might want to check it out! They open at 8am....and why want a fishy breath in the morning...weird....:classic:

When you get tired of your daily sushi breakfast, you could try Thesaurus... works for me :)

Thanks for your help :)

2andrea9k (are you really that Andrea? :)))

Where is Thesaurus? What is it?

You think driving from Piantini to Zona Colonial in the morning, when traffic is terrible is a good decision?! :) Anyway thanks, will keep it in my mind.

Do you know if they have fresh salmon ? Like nigiri de salmon, or de unagi ?

Well, I like sushi in the morning, cause I don't feel full. If you eat steak for example, you can't breath after that, all I want is just to sleep :)

I have a unique suggestion. Maybe try some cerial and milk, or be bold, try an egg or two. If you really want to go to hell with yourself, throw in a slice of toast.

Thesaurus is a bookshop on Lincoln, at the intersection with Sarasota. It has a nice cafe upstairs.
Maybe I'll see you there someday, Jess. :)

Juanita, a quick salmon class. Nigiri salmon goes with rice, Sliced smoked salmon goes with a bagel and creamed cheese.

I drop there for breakfast once in a while after an early meeting or for dinner when I feel lazy to cook. It is wonderful they let you read something while you are having a coffee ;)

Whenever you want we can meet there :)

If you like cream cheese and lox, try Bagels N More off of Tiradentes. It is near the Naco Hotel and Casino. Bagels are flown in from L.A. Best bagels in D.R.

I've never been there, but seen many times. Looks very quite and nice place. Gotta visit one day.

Thanks everybody!

Second the recommendation for Bagels & more.

There are a few light lunch/sandwich/salad type places that the Lunch Research Foundation (TM) has investigated recently.
'Green' in Plaza Andalucia and 'Pita y Romero' in Plaza Las Americas (both in or near Piantini). As we are purely a lunch research group our funding does not extend to determining whether the subject was open for breakfast (donations welcome, of course), so I have no data of that kind, but you might wish to follow up yourself. No sushi, but smoked salmon sandwiches were sampled by one of our researchers and she is still upright. ;)
