Getting Married in the DR

Where can I find what papers are necessary and where to go to register a Marriage and get a Marriage Licence... all information would be appreciated.

I'm going through the same process now. Via the link you posted it mentions:

(Legal transcripts of the birth certificates, single status affidavit and divorce act need to be prepared at the Dominican consulate in the country where the documents were issued.)

Near Los Angeles, the DR consulate wants $105 a page to do the translation. Wow. That sounds awfully high ... borderline ridiculous. I see the importance of doing everything correctly and properly, but I'm wondering if this price sounds right and if there is anything I can / should do about it?

The DR1.com forums have always been an immeasurable wealth of info.

Outrageous consular fees seem to be the norm and not just the DR either. Though $105 a page, if they don't actually translate it seems to be kind of high.
