Usually 10-12 players, sometimes less.Larry said:I dont think you will find that here. I did hear there was a weekly no limit hold em tournament in Playa Dorado with a buy in of 5,000 pesos but I doubt it attracts more than a couple dozen people. Maybe someone can confirm this for you.

Yes, you are a good player. I would like to play one night, especially if half the players are donkeys. Maybe in Janurary. Fridays right?HOWMAR said:2 or 3 very good
2 or 3 good
5 or 6 dead money.
On the relative scale I feel I fall in the good range.
Do the have a tournament every week? Do you know what day of the week and what time they play?HOWMAR said:Usually 10-12 players, sometimes less.

The tournament has been every Friday night. It is scheduled for 9:00PM. They have been pretty prompt since they want to start the regular game after the tournament.RELLOSK said:Do the have a tournament every week? Do you know what day of the week and what time they play?
For your 5K buy-in you get 50K in chips. If I remember correctly the blinds start at 100/200. They double every 15 minutes. The prize structure is 75% of the prize pool to the winner and 25% to second place. With 10 players that is 37,500 and 12,500. There is no entry fee or rake. The blinds progress pretty quickly as they want the tournament over in a couple of hours so that the regular game(where they make their money) can begin.Larry said:Howmar,
What is the blind structure like in the tounament? Is it fair? Some tournaments have a poor blind structure where they raise the blinds too quickly and by the time there are just a few players left, the blinds are disproportionate to the chip stacks. In those cases, towards the end of the tournament, there is no real poker played. Each hand is just a matter of pushing all in or folding. I refuse to play in tournaments like this. Especially for a 5K buy-in.
