ok..i know i posted about cuba last month...but now a haitian buddy has expresed interest in doing a combo dr/haiti trip.

HE is from the "elite" class in H...and assures me that i will be ok.

SOOOOOOOOOO.....my big question is what is the best way to get to the capital in haiti from santo domingo?

I know..this i probably a bigger step than my cuba trip....but my travel buddie is my best friend in the world....and i want to experience his country.

I have two friends who teach there...so i am willing to take the risk traveling there.

so...any advise (and SOON)....about travel to haiti from Santo Domingo would be greatly appreciated

Caribair from Herrera (HEX) in Santo Domingo has one or two flights most days. Check their schedule on the web, or contact a travel agent like Emely Tours in Santo Domingo.

Caribetur is your other option, a fairly long bus journey, crossing at Jimani. An interesting experience, though.

If you are in the company of Haitians or others who live there who know the score, you should be OK.
