I recently read on another DR website that a committe has been formed for the beautification of Pedro-Clisante.
Some of the suggestions were to close it off to vehicles and widen the streets for more foot traffic.
Also to replace the trees with palm trees, and reduce the amount of tables on the sidewalks.

Is this possible or just a pipe dream, where would the money come from?

PS: I would much rather see more tables on the sidewalks.

I think it's a wonderful idea. A person is always scared sh!tless to cross the street, especially with kids, and it's so busy... downside is, where are people going to park, in that case? While I'd like to see it happen, I doubt it's feasible.

Even better idea........

How about knocking down that hideous cement shell that was to be the "Sosua Convention Centre and Casino" and give back the park.

It is appararently clarified that you are discussing Sosua! There is a Pedro Clisante in almost every city I have been to here....LOL
