New Jersey Governor-elect Jon Corzine named three Dominicans to his Transition Team. Corzine, a United States Senator who won election for Governor of New Jersey on November 8, formed a Transition Team of leaders to help him build a new administration when he takes office on January 17, 2006. Governor-elect Corzine named to his Transition Team Lizette Delgado (former Assistant Secretary of State for NJ), Lucilo Santos (President of the Dominican American Council of NJ), and Cid Wilson (President of the Dominican American National Roundtable). "From Paterson to Trenton, Newark to Camden, Passaic to Perth Amboy, Union City to Jersey City, Dominicans have made a strong presence in New Jersey, growing not only in population, but also in civic participation,? said Corzine in an October press release from the Dominican American National Roundtable.
