Nice addition to the team, Bernie was getting tired. I doubt Johnny will be able to be able keep the "caveman" hair/beard. Steinbrenner has a hair code.

Yeah I like him now but he is getting a little older. He is 32. I guess a 4 year contract is just right.

I wonder how he will be recieved in Boston??

I don't know about you guys, but I'm hurt. :cry: When the Yankees got Bellhorn, I thought, "hahahaha - the jokes on you!" because Bellhorn ain't worth crap. But Damon??? That hurts. I love his spirit. You can find better Center Fielders out there, but Damon had game. He will be missed in Boston.

Apparently Boston offered 40 mil and wouldn't budge. Yankees offered 52 mil.

I think the situation with Damon was, like it is with a lot of players, that he wanted to stay with his team but was insulted that they assumed they could low ball him. So he goes to the Yankees out of spite, and for the extra 12 mil of course.
