I have been 12 years in Bolivia, and now looks like I will be some years in DR. I love to explore the little known places, where you hardly meet any people (there are heaps in Bolivia). The fact that DR is a relatively small Island (I lived in Australia before that:classic: ) might mean that all is overpopulated and private, are there any nice not very often visited places on the island? Or all is fenced off and you cannot get of the main road? Can you drive onto the beaches with a car?

Thanks

Go up into the mountains. Between San Juan de la Maguana and Santiago for instance.

Then go to the mountains of Neiba.

Then to Los Haitises near the Saman? Bay and then Report back to us..
