Pedro Martinez and the WBC

There was an article posted today in one of the newspapers in NY, that spoke about Pedro's toe injury. It said that he and the team are making more of an issue about the injury because Pedro actually does not want to pitch in the World Baseball Classic.

My question is, has anyone heard anything about this is DR or is this just another overzealous NY sportswriter making up a "scoop?"
