It is my impression that a person can invest in commercial paper with the central bank of the Dominican Republic (in USD 10,000.00 increments but in peso equivalent amounts) or in bank cd's and receive as much as 20% to 25% return on an annual basis.
Is this true and, if so, do you have to be a resident living in the country to be able to invest in these banks or can you live outside the country?
Any input on this issue would be appreciated. Also, any contacts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
