HGTV is producing a series where they visit what they describe as "the most prestigious, unusual, extravagant, eco-friendly and grand homes in the world and talk to the owners behind these amazing homes". They now would like to include a home in the Dominican Republic, in the series. They are looking at other islands in the Caribbean.

Any suggestions of a home of this kind in the DR?

HGTV is an independent television production company based in London.
They make a number of high quality documentary films for Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Home and Gardens Television every year.

For unusual, Escott had a picture in his blog of a home that was on the top of a huge rock.

Isn't it out in Cabrera?
I think there are a few out that way, on the South Side of the Highway.
Oops... I meant the cliff home, not the cave home.
I think the cave home was out near Las Galeras.

I am not sure if this is the right place

but you may want to check this one out

Direcci?n: Avenida Mirador Sur, Santo Domingo
Tel?fono: +1 809 533 2818
Fax: +1 809 533 8150
Correo: pescador@codetel.net.do

I don't know if this place still is "Meson De La Cava" a restaurant under ground, or if it was converted in a home as well.

Casa de los sue?os is ideal for this series in that it can also include some good PR for the ?PUNTACANA Ecological Foundation and the Punta Cana region in general, IMO.

How about some of the homes in Cuesta Brava, overlooking el Rio Isabella, in Santo Domingo? Some of them look as if they are 2000 or 3000 square meters, with 4 floors, heliports, etc. You can view them driving from the new (unopened) airport towards Arroyo Hondo / Santo Domingo.
