In spite of the fact that I come from coffee growing stock, lived on a coffee farm and was brought into this world by two coffee slurping people,
I just started drinking coffee in 1985, during a crisis at the Organizing Committee for the 15th Central American and Caribbean Games. Since then, I have come to really appreciate the bean.

So I dedicate this Ode to Caffeine to those of you that enjoy a good cuppa every now and then:

Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz. It leadeth me in the
paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of addiction, I will fear no Equal.
For thou art with me. Thy cream and thy
sugar, they comfort me. Thou preparest a
carafe before me in the presence of The
Starbucks. Thou anointest my day with pep.
My mug runneth over. Surely richness and
taste shall follow me all the days of my
life, and I will dwell in the House of
Mocha forever.
Amen

I am not, of course the author of this fine Ode. Like so many things, this is anonomous and from one of my more funny websites...:D:D:D

This is pretty good!!!

HB - I don't drink coffee but when I'm in the DR I drink it everyday. There is something about cafe Santo Domingo that I just love and can't pin-point (since I am no expert). Do you consider this coffee to be among one of the best or is it just regular coffee?

Here in NYC my fam drinks Bustelo. I don't like the taste of it.

Let me know what you think?
