We picked up the puppy at the vet. He is an American Cocker Spaniel and I paid 4,500 pesos at Happy Pets here in Santiago. Daughter is crazy about him and he about her. She cried herself to sleep tonight because Mickey went to bed and she wanted him to play more.

While searching for a puppy...I found beautiful white labs and shiny black as coal labs for 6,500 pesos. These dogs were simply stunning. I found golden retrievers for 10,000 but I heard that you can find them at a better price in Jarabacoa. At least here in Santiago...Happy Pets appeared to have best pricing.

If you want a West Highland Terrier...the price I was quoted is $2000 USD. That was easy to rule out.

One day I'm going to have a black lab, german shepherd, golden retriever, or Malinois. But the girls wanted Mickey so we got Mickey.

Good choiice. We have Gia, a young bitch. Just a beautiful little lady. Looks like Lady in Lady and the Tramp. Maybe we can hook up Gia and Mickey...

HB :D:D

If you can find a good Shepard bitch, I have an outstandlingly well pedigreed male....Truly top of the line. Sweet disposition, too.

A simple word of advise/caution. Don't let you be fooled by the sweet looks off your cocker pup. Train him/her well and, depending on the age off your daughter, supervise the interaction between your daughter and the dog at all times. A well socialised and trained dog is a blessing. A badly socialised dog without training is a desaster waiting to happen.

This being said enjoy your pup, play alot with her and treat her well

Greetings

I have one, but I only want to breed with a Swiss or A/C shepard. Do you know of any?

Yup Werner, I agree with you 100%. Not sure of the statistics but I've heard that there are more child-bitings from Cocker Spaniels than from Pit Bulls. In South Africa people with children often avoid getting Cocker Spaniels because of their reputation .... a little flipside considering the rep that pitbulls have in most places.

Stay well,
Amy

Werner: My male has a pedigree longer than a Brazilian Anaconda! His whole line are Ch. This and Ch. That...not kidding.

If you are in the DR, ask any breeder about Agripino's Shepards...Nuf said.
