will be on the south coast from 2/22 - 3/3 and am spending a night or perhaps two in the capital....and would really like to hear some really good live bachata.
someone gave me a link a while back...but i found that mostly had US dates.
Was hoping that there might be a chance to catch someone good live there! (raulin, santos, reyes, yoskar, vargas....are my favs...but i would be up just for a good suggestion).
Also...how safe (for a gringo) is the area near Avenida Mella (near Mercado Modelo) at night? It looks pretty close to el conde..so i cant imagine it would be too bad. I am talking about 8pm at night?
