Hi Everyone,

Planning another last minute trip to the DR in the next few weeks...It is very important that myself and my boyfriend be able to access the internet regularly (from our own room/suite). Has anyone stayed at any resorts in Puerto Plata where they know that this is available? No matter what the extra daily charge is, it would be well worth it for us to access the Internet from our own room. Thanks so much for any advice!!!:D

The place looks first class on their website, I hope it includes a mint on the pillow for $350/night!

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know of any other hotels in offering in-room internet? We didn't want to spend as much as the Casa Colonial as we've got several other nicer trips planned this year...this one is just a last minute suntanning trip but internet would be a huge bonus. Thanks:cool:

I know Sosua by the Sea has WiFi in the bar but I'm not sure if any of the rooms are in the footprint. Find a post by SosuaJoe and send him a PM or E-mail and ask him.

Read the Link on Cabarete hotels I gave you.
Any hotel that is wired lists it.

Why do need to have access in your room?
Are you trading Currency Futures or streaming live Porn?

The internet cafes are all over the place and Sosua alone has 3 or more WIFI hotspots....Rocky's, Eddy's, La Roca, and Doo Doo Lounge.

This person definitely does not have a laptop.

Since I travel with my laptop I perfectly understand the preference to have internet access in the room. Actually, like the person who asked the question before, I now choose my hotel -- whenever possible -- with a room internet access.

It is so convenient to sit in your room and get your email, or do work. Many of us need to keep in touch with the office, or do work that requires access to the internet, and it is so much more convenient than having to go to an Internet cafe.

For instance, all the upscale hotels that are opening in Punta Cana are offering wi fi access. Punta Cana Resort was the first to offer it in the lobby -- and the lobby gets booked with people accessing the internet from their computers. It is definitely a selling point and we will be seeing more wi fi connections.

Modern way to go.

If you like LAME 80's music and overweight AI touristas from SBH it's not a bad place.
There WIFI is encrypted until you order a drink, that is cheesy IMHO.

Cita del Sol in Cabarete has in-room Internet

Downtown Cabarete, one-bedroom apartments with kitchens and cable tv also have ethernet connections to broadband internet in the room. Price per night is about $50-75 depending on the apartment and air conditioning. The internet for those with laptops makes a big difference!

Exactly Dolores, you see my internet need. My boyfriend runs his own internet ad agency and when he's away that means he can't make $ to pay for our next trip:) Having it in room would be so much more convenient. Thanks all

He "run's an Ad agency" and does not have a laptop?
That's like being a locksmith and not selling lox!

Who's better than you Marco!
You can pick your friends but can you pick your bagel's?
