Xavier Cougat in the 1960's??

Does anyone know if Xavier Cougat and his orchestra visited the RD in the 60's? (or ever).

Thanks for your reply. Once we realized that granps was not demented, and started listening better to his "stories", we started to learn that most were true. It is just that they were so over the top, that I try to check facts on him whenever I can.
