I wonder how they would know. I stayed there and I dont remember a braclet from that hotel. They dont offer lunch, only a continental breakfast with the room. they dont have a beach, or open bar.....I would think pull up , park the car and walk in and up the stairs, like you own the place.... we talked to the night watchman when we came back and he didnt know if my girl checked in with me or not, because he wasnt working when we checked in many hours earlier. And he didnt ask. My Gf is dominican and I am NOT.

and usually the guy working the desk hangs out under the stairs, slightly in a hallway that lets him look into the first room and watch TV!!!!!!!

Are you people maybe reading too much into the OP? Wasn't the question: "Is this hotel friendly to guests -- generally?" Or do I need to get my mind more into the gutter?

The first two responses answered the OP's original question, in other words may one bring Unregistered guests in to the hotel to partake in carnal pleasure in the late hours of the evening.

I also have no idea what Bob is talking about!

I had some single friends of mine visiting stay there a few times. Just make it clear when you check in that the room is for two people, I am assuming one male in each room. If you do not do this you will be charged $30 for each guest, each night. You will not know until you check out either, as they so not mention it and just put it on your bill.

Me_again:

"Guest friendly" is the polite equivalent of "do they allow hookers" on most DR forums.

Cheers!

I agree...it happens all the time

anyway....I tried to answer the question based on the premise, he wanted to bring a woman he meets during the night, that is not registered as he is.

thus my comments...I gave a little info about what i saw, that might affect his bringing a woman back....

the bracelet info was offered, as a way to suggest how would the night watchman know if a woman is registered or not. Unlike other hotels that hand out bracelets so the workers know right away if a person is registered or not.

I also offered that I personally talked to a man who could be the exact person he needs to get past in the wee hours to get the girl to his room...

i figured since he didnt ask me, if my GF was registered... that was useful information( her being obviously Dominican, and me being obviously NOT dominican...MORE useful information...I THOUGHT

and then the info that the night CLERK may not even ask, because he may not even SEE THEM walk up the stairs!!!!!!!! because he had his head in the hallway watching TV instead of manning the front desk...I came and went three times during the night!

but maybe every one else thinks a lot different than me........Ill get over it though

hope the OP has a good time

Hm, so you think it is impossible for a tourist in Sosua to go to a disco, and check up another tourist, and bring him/her back to the room ?
And what about female tourists and Sankies ?

Tamborista's description is more correct:

Doesn't need to be late evening tho, and I suppose you could play dominoes or something...

Is the Piergiorgio a relatively new hotel? I thought that I saw some ad regarding this new hotel and that was the one. Am I wrong. Where exactly is this place located? In Sosua near where?

As far as where it is located.... the best decription I can give without knowing ALL the streets to lead you there is:

standing on Sosua beach ( the public portion with all the small shops up in back) facing the ocean all the way to your right, you will see a tall hotel that are doing work on... that hotel is on a dead end road..... the hotel thats in good shape on the dead end road is the WATERFRONT.... if you follow the shoreline a little FURTHER out and around the corner you will come to the Piergiorgio.... from sosua beach's view the Piergiorgio is behind the Waterfront Hotel... The piergiorgio does NOT HAVE A BEACH... they are on a rock cliff...... the piergiorgio is also on a dead end road...but I cant remember the name.....

the best way to get there from downtown sosua.... from my experience,...is to get lost downtown... then you always seem to end up there!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha

I thought you stayed there Bob!

Make a hard left at the top of the beach ramp, keep the monstrosity of a bombed out construction site called The Casino on your right, pass Sosua Bay Hotel on your left, take that road under 1/4 of a mile to the end, make a left, and it's a few hundred feet on your right, you won't miss it, it looks like an old Victorian New England Style B and B, all white.

I did, at least I am nice enought to admit I wont be able to give good directions from the road.....but the route you describe is the path from the beach!.....isnt it?

Isnt that building they are remodeling in the same parking area as the WATERFRONT???????.... I think the the Sosua Bay Hotel has to be on the beach and it has to be actually south of the building under repair...other wise it wouldnt have a beach!!!!!! the shoreline is basically north of land.,..except for the little corner of beach that the Sosua Bay Hotel has.... which is west of the hotel!!!!!

Since i drove to the waterfront, and the Piergiorgio both....I am sure I cant remember now which road takes you to which hotel

I know once i drove there again I would remember it.

if the OP gets ahold of one of the maps of sosua posted on the site someplace...he can get a better idea

here is a link with a map of sosua listed in the upper left protion of the screen.

http://www.drpure.com/index.php?topic=Sosua

the piergiorgio hotel is at the end of the THIRD dead end road on the right side of the beach( orange color)... the first dead end road actually touches the beach. the second dead end road is where the WATERFRONT hotel is.. the third dead end road is where the PIERGIORGIO is located...... good luck
