The passing of Kirby Puckett this afternoon from a stroke is a tragedy in itself... but at such a young age. He was a man who respected the game and played the game the way it should be played. And for someone to play their whole career with one team, shows what type of unselfish individual and respectful person he was.

God bless him and his family.

Kirby Puckett will truly be missed. A man of fine character (both on and off the field), helped the Twins win two World Series (1987 and 1991), and a Hall of Famer and a loving family man.

A great player!

I used to LOVE watch Kirby play.

It seemed to me that he loved the game a great deal.

Whether his team was winning or losing by 20 runs, he played the game with passion.

A truly great ball player!.
