I don't think ORANGE Is open at all on Sunday, and the hours for Tropical, I believe are just in the morning, until 12 noon. (I think I read that from another poster)

Orange isn't open in Sosua on Sunday and I doubt very much it is in Puerto Plata. For groceries, go to Tropical, not Messon. There is another thread running right now about it and fact its shelves are getting bare.

There is no shopping here on Sundays. All is closed.

Only supermercados are open in Puerto Plata until noon on Sundays.
Colmados open as usual.
Tiendas are closed, exept Gitano on Calle Beller that works until noon as well.

Multicentro Silverio Messon are now renting out about 1/2 of their space to other shops ( like a galleria ) and will keep the groceries themselves only.
The others are Verizon, Centennial, Orange, Tricom, a clothes store and a store for technical and kitchen utilities. Also a pharmacy and a shoe store.
Last month the groceries there have been poor, but it is getting better, and the shelfs are filling up again.
Last week when I was there, it looked quite normal.
