I have read here that your credit card issuer will cover your rental car in the the event of damage, but will not cover damage to the other car or personal injury to another person or driver. My question is this. Assuming that you take the insurance with your credit card issuer, how much does it cost to purchase insurance to cover you for injury to another person or their car in the event of an accident. What is this insurance called? Assume that you will be renting from one of the reputable compaines. ( Avis, National, Alamo, etc). Thanks.
