last night four of us went over to sosua, as we are all a bit tired of the cabarete scene. we went bar hopping, and second stop was at eddie's sports bar (not an obviouse choice, but two of us are avid sports fans) to our complete surprise, the menu was ASIAN and kind of rang a bell...
then out of the kitchen comes DORI, the guy that had the japanese/thai
restaurant we all loved so much in pro-cab, cabarete. and which kind of disapeared one day, just to re- encarnate a year later in sosua...
(without the sushi to my dismay... hint, hint...)
food was had in orgiastic ammounts, and was superb (phad thai noodles, soba
noodles, teriyaki beef filet, thai curry, and a delicious coco nut flavored rice pudding) needless to say, we were too full to continue hopping...
the restaurnt is named "ASIATICO" and is at eddies sports bar near the ayuntamiento (everybody in sosua knows eddie's)
oh, and don't forget to say that steve sent ya.... lol.

As long as you don't order anything with ****ake mushrooms!
I will make that happen if you are in Sosua.

but as my my user name might hint, i intend to stick to restaurant critique,
and food related stuff in general... which is what i like doing most.
so just wait for my next post, and maybe some of your questions will be answered!

Who cares if its a first post or a sockpuppet, it's good info and harmless.

Nothing wrong with the quality of the info, but the bosses here like to gather advertising revenue from advertising. Something about a business strategy I think ;)

If you want a real Thai restaurant in Sosua there is only one with a Thai Chef. Chilis, located in La Mullatta. That is the road going up to the International School across from the Sosua Car Wash. Great food and much less cost than the one mentioned here.

I have ate at both and there is no comparison. Chilis is best.....

Nice! Keep 'em coming. Just for the record, it is not my board, it is just a place where I hang out and do a little work sometimes...

This is a fishy thread. A great review from a new poster, then the menu is posted. I wonder whats next?
I hear dori has good food but too bad the restaurant is located in sosua, a dead beat town.
