I only run my generator, 5 or 6 times per year, during exceptionally long power failures, after my batteries finally give up the ghost, and I've been running it since 10 AM.
Anybody out there hear anything through the grapevine?
I took a walk around town and didn't see any crews anywhere.

you are not alone. We have no lights in downtown santiago since who knows when. I came here at 9am and no lights. It's 5:21 pm and still no lights.
God bless my inverter.

I sense a slow period of deterioration -- we have also had less than usual and are back to checking the batteries very frequently.. so that they don't run dry. We've gotten used to not worrying and not checking since shortly after the election.

Marco,

"F" the electricity, do you have enough gas to pick me up at POP, or do I need to bring some?

BTW, what do you need me to bring from the states?

Send me the flight details, Joe.
I'll be there.
