Does wireless internet exist in the DR? I don't mean WiFi Hotspots or satellite internet.
But wireless; your location has a transponder radio and you connect your network cable to it. The ISP has a transponder radio and server connected directly to the net. No satellite equipment, or cable or phone lines.
A former business had it, and I got 2-3mbps down and uploads with it for around $299 a month-really fast. Performed better than T1's I was familiar with, and only required line-of-sight. The main antenna was on top of a skyscraper in Tampa.
Cops have it in their cars in the states.
Any input is appreciated.
