Hola, I am looking for some Dominican people who has studied textile or fabric design, or working in the textile industry. I would like to exchange some cultures and information, and make friends.

I am going to graduate from college this summer, specialising in knitted textile. I studied Spanish ages ago in US for a year so yo habla espanol un poco...

Dear Coconutgirl: If you can find a website for the Altos de Chavon School (or perhaps go through the Casa de Campo wed site).

That is the only place i can think of that might teach design in these fields. They have a special workng realtionship with Parson School in NYC.

If you want to work in this field here, you had better be real sure there is a need. Most materials and knits come from overseas and the designs are sent from the head office, so to speak.
