Default Sirius satellite radio in Punta Cana area

Can anyone confirm if you can pickup Sirius satellite radio reception in the Punta Cana area? I would like to bring my unit on a trip to the DR.

    Cool lsatellite radio

Yes you can get Sirius in Punta Cana and anywhere else in the DR. Due to the position of the bird over Mexico the farther you go east in the DR the signal degrades.
On the other hand no luck with XM, their beam is more directionalized, you can get it in Jamaica but no where else to the east.

Sirius signal is good through the Virigin Islands. Signal subject to thunderstorms and twilight atmospherics from E. Puerto Rico onward.

Is that via a regular car stereo antena or are talking about the home antena connection?
