It depends on how long you have lived here. The first year I lived here, I thought it was about the same all year long. But now I know different. During the winter months, I need a light blanket most nights, and sometimes 2 blankets. If the temperature gets around 70 degrees F at night, I am cold.
People living in the north think that's funny, but the difference is that the body of people living here has acclimated to a different normal temperature range.
This is also the reason why most Dominicans and expats who have lived here for a period of time don't go to the beach during the winter months.
