I realize it is short notice but as the time has slipped by so quickly I honestly forgot.

Here in El Seybo, Seibo, we have a yearly bullfighting event called ‘corrida de toro’ which is part of the Fiesta de las Patronales de la Cruz held each year from 1 May to 8 May. This yearly event is sponsored by the Ganaderos of El Seybo. This event starts out with a “subasta ganadera” (cattle auction) which includes all types of animals. On the 3rd the bullfights start. These bullfights do not include the killing of the bull as this is just a symbolic ritual preformed by what ever idiot is crazy enough to get in the ring and there is never a short supply of such people.

Each evening there is the usual drinking and dancing with some big hit performers brought in. It’s a great place to party or relax and enjoy yourself. Plenty of the local female population is always in attendance and there are hardly any tourists. The majority of the people here are camposinos so you will meet a lot of honest and hard working Dominicans.

If you get the opportunity drop on by and check us out. The 2 local TV stations are always there filming if you want to get on local TV. Just jump into the ring with that bull and you will be on TV.

If you should want to come by it will be on the right side of the road as you enter town from the direction of Hato Major. Right behind the electric power station. If you are coming from Higuey/ La Romana you will have to go through town and it will be on your left as you leave the city limits. If you are coming from Miches you come into town and make a right turn at the main road and it will be about ? a mile on your left.
