How are the roads from Santiago to Samana? any info will be appreciated..

From Gaspar Hernandez to Rio San Juan the road has a lot of potholes. Once you get past Rio San Juan mostly smooth sailing.

You can take the mountain road #21 to Sabaneta and then east. Which way would you go?

Your way is fine, but the roads around S.P Mac are not as quick as the way I mentioned. I have been on both and it is quicker the way I mentioned.

When you say compared, are you measuring distance? Or have you tried both ways?

You'd lose.

It takes about 3+ hours to get to Saman? from here by the route proposed by M'frog.
You can't bet that by going north and then east.

Well, as we live here that doesn't really appeal to me much.
HB told you the outcome ....

It's true I have to go to Santiago this week but I as I hate driving you'd compete against my cu?ado at the wheel.
That's just not fair, he's Dominican, a taxi driver and furthermore I don't want to get sick in the back seat.

It's OK, you take your way, I take mine.

I confirm it is a lot faster to drive thru San Francisco than to go all the way thru the mountains, and then Gaspar Hernandez...

There's just no competition..
