    Default Organic Foods

Hi all.Any organic food stores in Santo Domingo or anywhere in the island for that matter? Also how widespread is pesticide use on locally grown fruits and vegetables?I see the crop duster over the rice fields on the way to Sfo.De Macoris.Scary!!
    Thanks ECM

There is a small organic store on Calle Leonor Feltz in Mirador Sur close to av. la Privada, which has some nice things, although its range of products is limited. They sell organic vegetables on fridays. I've seen organic coffee in supermercado Nacional.

Start your own garden. What about small farmers, who grow their own vegetables? go to the campos and enquire.
